5 new tracks have been added to Nightmares On Wax’ ‘N.O.W. IS THE TIME’ playlist on rdio, available to stream here.

The 5 tracks are taken from ‘Smokers Delight (1995), ‘Carboot Soul’ (1999) and ‘Mind Elevation’ (2002). Across these three albums the Nightmares on Wax sound was born and defined, Steve Beckett remembers the post-club movement and the position of ‘Smokers Delight’ within that, the album “felt like [it] was going to become one of the defining records of that movement. And it was.”

In the interviews included with the box set edition, George describe his process making the tracks - “I’m pulling it out of the car boot sale, making the track, mixing it and then I’m putting it back in the car to listen to it: that was the full cycle.”

"We’re blessed to have grown up in the ’70s and ’80s [in the UK], for a small island, how we expressed ourselves in the 80s, whether it was new wave, streetsoul, goth, house, reggae, the way we take music and express ourselves it’s fucking incredible." - George
